Namahage Taiko is a derivative of this traditional event. ”Namahage Taiko” expresses how ”Namahage” comes down to the village to rebuke people and drive away their laziness with the energizing sound of Japanese drums. The Namahage Fureai Taiko Live Concert was first held in February 2002.The venue was a gravel parking lot in Oga Onsenkyo, where the Namahage Taiko “Onga” began.
