Standing 5 meters high, 9 meters wide, and 7 meters deep, the Nebuta is overwhelming in its power and beauty.ものとされているが、その起源は定かではない。青森市では、毎年8月2日〜7日、青森ねぶた祭として、20数台の大型ねぶたを中心とした祭りが開催される。「ねぶた」とは、台車の上に木や針金の骨組みを組み、その上に、和紙を貼って組み立てた巨大な人形型灯籠を乗せたもので、構想から完成まで1年近くもかかるとされる。人形型灯籠は豪快な故事・伝説にちなんだ勇壮なものが多く、大きさはもとより、色彩、タッチのダイナミックさは迫力がある。この「ねぶた」を中心に、ハネトと呼ばれる踊り手が、笛、太鼓、手振り鉦の演奏に合わせて、「ラッセラー、ラッセラー」の掛け声を掛けながら、夜の町を、一心不乱、縦横無尽に跳ね踊る。青森ねぶた祭では、ハネト衣装を着用すれば、誰もがハネトとなって祭りに参加できる。A powerful festival that adds dashing color to Tsugaru's summerIt is believed that the Nebuta of Aomori City comes from the custom of “Nemuri-nagashi,” a variant of the Tanabata Festival's floating lantern ceremony, but its true origin is not certain. The Aomori Nebuta Festival in Aomori City is held from August 2 to 7 every year, featuring more than 20 large Nebuta floats. A Nebuta is a giant doll-shaped lantern made of Japanese paper that is placed on top of a wooden or wire frame built on top of a cart. It reportedly takes nearly one year from conception to completion. Many of the doll-shaped lanterns are majestic and associated with dynamic folklore and legends, and the size, color, and feel of the lanterns are dynamic and powerful. Dancers called “Haneto” dance around the “Nebuta,” calling out “rassera, rassera” to the accompaniment of flutes, drums, and hand bells as they leap about the town at night in all directions with unrestrained energy.
