ホームページ ▶ https://www.hirosaki-kanko.or.jp/開催日：毎年8月1日から7日場所：青森県弘前市内（土手町コース、駅前コース）電車：【土手町コース】弘南鉄道大鰐線中央弘前駅よりすぐ／【駅前コース】JR・弘南鉄道弘南線弘前駅よりすぐ弘前市立観光館 0172-37-5501Date：August 1 to 7 every yearPlace: Hirosaki City, Aomori Prefecture (Dote-machi Course, Ekimae Course)Train: [Dote-machi Course] A short walk from Chuo Hirosaki Station on the Konan Railway Owani Line / [Ekimae Course] A short walk from Hirosaki Station on the JR and Konan Railway Konan LinesHirosaki Municipal Tourism Center 0172-37-5501「ヤーヤドー」の掛け声とともに、城下町・弘前を練り歩くこのエリアを代表する夏まつりで、300年以上の歴史を誇る。ねぷたの種類は扇型の「扇ねぷた」と人形の形をした「組ねぷた」の2種類。最初に小型のねぷたが、続いて大型のねぷたが曳かれる。最大9メートル超・重量何トンもある大型ねぷたを曳く男衆の姿は迫力満点、また、子供たちが手に持つ「金魚ねぷた」は可愛らしい。正面の「鏡絵」に描かれるのは勇壮な武者絵、背面の｢見送り絵｣は妖艶な美女の絵となっており、表裏の対比も弘前ねぷたの魅力のひとつ。それぞれのねぷたの後ろには笛や太鼓の一団が続き、お囃子が祭りを盛り上げる。ねぷたは、暑さの厳しい、農作業の忙しい夏期に襲ってくる睡魔を追い払うため、村中一団となって様々な災い、邪悪を水に流して村の外に送り出す「農民行事」から生まれたと言われ、まさに眠さも吹き飛ぶほどの鮮やかさと大迫力。青森市のねぶたが「nebuta」であるのに対し、弘前市のねぷたが「neputa」。地域によって発音が異なるのも、おもむき深い。The stirring and refined “Hirosaki Neputa” adds flair to hot summer nightsThe Hirosaki Neputa Festival is a summer festival that represents this area, with a history of over 300 years, featuring around 60 large and small Neputa floats, adorned with brocade pictures of themes such as Records of the Three Kingdoms and the Water Margin, parading through the castle town of Hirosaki to the shouts of "Ya-yado." There are two types of Neputa: "Ogi Neputa", which are shaped like a fan and "Kumi Neputa", which are shaped like a doll. The smaller ones are pulled first, followed by the larger ones. The large Neputa floats can measure over 9 meters tall and weigh several tons, so seeing them pulled by the men is certainly impactful, while the "Goldfish Neputa", held by children, will melt your heart. The "mirror paintings" on the front display a brave warrior, while the "farewell paintings" on the rear show a bewitching beauty, with the contrast between front and back being one of the charming aspects of the festival. A group of flute and drum players follow behind each Neputa, livening up the festival. Neputa are believed to have originated from farming. The whole village would gather to wash misfortune and evil spirits from the village with water, and drive away sleepiness during the hot and busy summer months on the farm. The vividness and power of the images is enough to banish any drowsiness. It is interesting that pronunciation differs by region, with Hirosaki using "Neputa" and Aomori using "Nebuta".弘前ねぷたの代名詞ともいえる扇形のねぷた。鏡絵（正面）と見送り絵（背面）の対比が美しく、その大きさとデザインの多様性も魅力。Fan-shaped Neputa are synonymous with Hirosaki Neputa.
