Kagura groups from outside the prefecture are also invited, so you can enjoy kagura from other regions as well.や公演を行いながら、伝統の舞を後世に継承している。年に1度、町内の神楽座や子どもの神楽団体などが一堂に会し、庄内神楽を披露するのが「庄内神楽祭り」。スサノオノミコトがヤマタノオロチを退治する「大蛇退治」をはじめ、勇壮でユーモラスな舞の数々を存分に楽しめる。同時開催の庄内町ふるさと祭りも、多くの出店や観光客で賑わう。2009年の地域伝統芸能全国大会鳥取大会に出演した中臣神楽社は、景行天皇の土蜘蛛（つちぐも）退治伝説に由来する中臣神社に所属する神楽社である。舞は、明治6年に大野郡深山流神楽が伝えられ、今でも天明7年（1789年）正月11日付けの巻物を代々の楽長が受け継ぎ、地域内はもとより市内外の祭りやイベントで神楽を舞っている。18〜77歳までの18名の楽員が、歴史と伝統ある舞を後世に引き継ぐために日々努力を重ねている。Traditional Shonai Kagura enchants with its heroic dances! 12 kagura troupes gather to perform the dances of the gods. Shonai Kagura, a traditional performing art that turns stories of the gods into dance, has been passed down through the generations in Shonai-cho, Yufu City. Twelve kagura troupes practice and perform to pass down the traditional dances to future generations. Once a year, all the kagura troupes and children's kagura groups in the town gather at the “Shonai Kagura Festival” to perform Shonai Kagura. The festival features a variety of powerful and humorous dances, including the “Great Snake Extermination,” in which Susanoo-no-mikoto exterminates the Yamata-no-orochi. The concurrent Shonai-machi Furusato Festival also attracts many stalls and tourists. The Nakatomi Kagura troupes, which performed at the 2009 National Convention of Regional Traditional Performing Arts in Tottori, is a kagura troupe that belongs to Nakatomi Shrine, which derives its name from the legend of the extermination of the Tsuchigumo Spider by Emperor Keiko. The Ono-gun Fukayama style of kagura was introduced in 1873, and even today, the head of the troupe inherits the scroll dated January 11, 1789, and performs kagura at festivals and events not only in the local area but also in the city and beyond.
