It is held from July 1 to 15 every year. During that period, gorgeous decorative Yamakasa of more than 10 meters in length are open to the public at more than a dozen places in the city. From the 10th, Kakiyamakasa which weighs about one ton, is carried at full speed, and the festival changes from stillness to movement. The festival reaches its climax with “Oi Yamakasa”, held at 4:59 a.m. on July 15.
