Please check the latest information before planning your visit.開催日：8月中旬場所：旧岩谷小学校（愛媛県大洲市肱川町山鳥坂）電車:JR「 伊予大洲駅」大洲市文化振興課0893-57-9993Date：Mid-AugustPlace: Former Iwatani Elementary School (Yamatosaka, Hijikawa-cho, Ozu City, Ehime Prefecture)Train: JR Iyo-ozu StationOzu City Cultural Promotion Division 0893-57-9993山鳥坂ダム水没地区で300年の伝統絶やさず。Keeping the 300-year-old tradition alive in the submerged area of Yamatosaka Dam見て感動し、始めたのが起源といわれ、約300年の歴史がある。神楽の中心は天の岩戸の「岩戸開き」にあるが、日本武尊（やまとたけるのみこと）の舞い、大蛇退治の舞いなど18種目から構成され、高千穂系の神楽と出雲系の神楽の両方の見どころを取り入れた神楽といえる。特徴は、天の岩戸にこもってしまった天照大神（あまてらすおおみかみ）を外に連れ出すまでが、この神楽の主なストーリーだが、熊襲退治や大蛇退治など、ほかの神話もミックスされているのが面白いところである。神楽は高千穂系と出雲系に分かれ、「岩戸開き」は高千穂系、「大蛇退治」などは出雲系の演題で、鎮縄神楽はこの二つの見どころを同時に取り入れているのも大きな特徴である。Kagura Dancing in a Town Submerged by Dam ConstructionIt is said that the ancestors of the Wake clan, who used to rule the Hijikawa Town area of Ozu City, were so impressed by Iwato Kagura when they visited Takachiho that they adopted it, and it now has a history of about 300 years. The main part of the kagura is the “Iwato opening” of Amano-Iwato, but it also consists of 18 different types of kagura, including the dance of Yamato Takeru no Mikoto and the dance of the extermination of giant serpents. It can be said that this kagura incorporates highlights of both Takachiho kagura and Izumo kagura. The main story of this kagura is the bringing out of Amaterasu Omikami from her hiding place in Amano-Iwato, but it is interesting to note that other myths are also mixed in, such as the extermination of Kumaso and the extermination of giant serpents. Kagura is divided into the Takachiho and Izumo styles, with “Iwato-Opening” being Takachiho style and “Exterminating the Great Serpent” and other performances being Izumo style.
