Float Bunraku and Karakuri Theatre born in Shukuba-machi応２）と言われている。現在は、毎年5月2日・3日に行われ、2年に一度の本祭（ほんまつり）には、豪壮な5輌（高さ約7ｍ、重さ約5トン）の山車が町内を巡行し、神社に奉納される。この山車の上で文楽や、浄瑠璃に合わせたからくり人形芝居を上演するのは非常に珍しく、約270〜300年の歴史があり、現在では、4輌の山車で山車文楽が上演されており、1輌で山車からくりが上演されている。若い後継者を育てるために、知立市立竜北中学校に山車文楽部があり、保存会が指導を行うなど、山車文楽や山車からくりを保存継承するとともに後継者の育成にも取り組んでいる。Bunraku and Karakuri performed on a float is very rare.It is said that the first float was dedicated to the ancient festival of Chiryu Shrine (Chiryu Matsuri) in 1653 (Joo-o 2). Currently, the festival is held on May 2 and 3 every year, and during the main festival held once every two years, five magnificent floats (about 7 meters high and 5 tons in weight) parade through the town and are dedicated to the shrine. It is very rare to see bunraku and karakuri puppet shows accompanied by joruri performed on these floats. It has a history of about 270 to 300 years. Currently, four floats are used to perform bunraku, and one float is used to perform karakuri. In order to nurture young successors, Chiryu City Ryuhoku Junior High School has a float bunraku club.
