On its upper stage, dolls are displayed and famous scenes from Kabuki are recreated.安井武次氏は青柏祭の曳山を飾る歌舞伎人形作りに長きにわたり携わり、祭りの盛況に貢献したことにより支援賞を受賞。神饌（しんせん）を青柏（あおがしわ）の葉に盛って供える儀式がその名の由来となった。981年に能登国司源順が能登の国祭りと定めたのが始まりといわれ能登地方最大の祭礼である。注目すべきは鍜冶町・府中町・魚町の3町から1台ずつ奉納される山車「でか山」で、高さ12m・重さ20tの日本最大の山車が町中を曳き廻される様は迫力満点である。特に、狭い街角で大きな梃子（てこ）を使って山車を方向転換させる「辻廻し」は必見の価値があり、訪れる人々も自由に山車を曳くことができる。「でか山」は、1473年、京文化の移入に熱心であった能登守護畠山義統が京の祇園山鉾にならって、青柏祭に曳山（山車）を奉納したのが始まりと伝えられている。The largest float in Japan, “Dekayama,” is pulled around! A powerful Hikiyama event that brings spring to the Noto region.The Seihaku Festival is an annual festival held from May 3 to 5 at Otokonushi Shrine (Sanno Shrine) in Nanao City. It takes its name from the ceremony of offering food to the gods on a green oak leaf. It is the largest festival in the Noto region and is said to have been established as the festival of Noto province in 981 by the Noto governor, Minamoto no Shitago. The most notable feature of the festival is the “Dekayama” float, which is offered in turn by each of the three towns of Kajimachi, Fuchumachi, and Uomachi. The largest float in Japan, measuring 12 meters in height and weighing 20 tons, is pulled through the town with great force. “Tsujimawashi,” in which the float is turned around using a large lever on a narrow street corner, is especially worth seeing, and visitors are free to pull the float.
