It has also been selected as a “Chiba Cultural Heritage” that is wished to be preserved for the next generation.賀大神（おおすかだいじん）境内に大鳥居が建てられた元禄10年（1697年）に芝居を奉納したのが始まりといわれ、300年以上の歴史がある。伊能の芝居（しばや）と呼ばれ、大須賀大神の春の例大祭で奉納芝居として古くから行われ受け継がれてきた。地元をはじめ多くの人々に親しまれ戦時中も途絶えることのなかった伊能歌舞伎であったが、高度経済成長期の昭和40年の上演を最後に中断された。しかし、地元住民の伊能歌舞伎復活を願う熱意を背景に、当時の経験者による伊能歌舞伎保存会が結成され、平成11年に34年ぶりに復活公演を行った。平成14年には成田市の無形民俗文化財に指定され、以後、定期公演のほか、各方面からの依頼を受け公演するなど、地元伝統芸能の保存・継承に努めている。Hokuso's local play that has continued since the Edo periodIno Kabuki is a form of rural kabuki that has been passed down in the Ino district of Narita City. It is said to have its origins in the dedication of a play in 1697 (Genroku 10), when a large torii gate was built on the grounds of the shrine Osukadaijin in Ino, Narita City, and has a history of over 300 years. It is called Ino no Shibaya (Ino's theater), and has been performed and passed down from generation to generation as a dedicatory play at the spring festival of the Osukadaijin shrine. Ino Kabuki, which was quite popular, including among locals, carried on even during the war, but was suspended after its last performance in 1965, during a period of high economic growth in Japan. However, the enthusiasm of local residents for the revival of Ino Kabuki led to the formation of the Ino Kabuki Preservation Society by those who had performed it then, and in 1999, Ino Kabuki was revived after 34 years.
