Please check the latest information before planning your visit.ホームページ ▶ 銚子はね太鼓保存会 https://www.choshikanko.com/開催日：観光協会にて要チェック電車：JR総武線「銚子駅」より徒歩20分銚子市観光協会（JR銚子駅構内） 0479-22-1544Dates: Contact the tourist association.Train: 20-min. walk from Choshi Station on the JR Sobu LineChoshi Tourist Association (inside JR Choshi Station) 0479-22-1544江戸時代から銚子だけに伝わる、日本一過激な格闘技のような太鼓である。The most extreme taiko drumming in Japan, like a fighting sport, which has been handed down only in Choshi since the Edo period.これを祝い、海神への感謝を表す祭りを催したが、祭りを盛り上げる太鼓囃子を持ち合わせなかった。人々は漁師の祭りに相応しい、勇壮な太鼓踊りを考えだした。はね太鼓は非常に珍しい太鼓で、二人の打ち手が太鼓を担ぎ上げ、首とあばらで太鼓を支えながら打って跳ね、跳ねては回り、太鼓もろとも宙を舞う。極めつけは「ねかせ打ち」、担ぎ手の一人を抱え込み地に這わせ太鼓を打ちまくる。黒潮躍る海の男の力と技の太鼓で異彩さと勇壮さは見るものを圧倒する。保存会は、昭和50年ころから郷土芸能として活動を始め、漁師町ならではの郷土芸能であるはね太鼓を通じて、銚子市内外に積極的にアピールするとともに後進の育成に努め、普及活動を行っている。さらに、はね太鼓の新たなる奏法を編み出すなど創作にも力を入れている。A rare traditional local art performance handed down only in ChoshiIn 1864, at the end of the Edo period, the town of Choshi was blessed with an unprecedented sardine catch.The people held a festival to celebrate and express their gratitude to the god of the sea, but they did not have a taiko musical instrument to enliven the festival. The people came up with the idea of a brave taiko dance suitable for a fisherman's festival. Hane-daiko is a very rare type of taiko drumming; two drummers carry the drum on their backs, supporting it with their necks and ribs as they beat, leap, jump, and spin, and their bodies flying in the air with the drums. The ultimate performance is the “nekase-uchi,” in which one drummer is held up by another one, who crawls on the ground and beats the drum. The power and skills of the Kuroshio Sea Men's drums are unique, and their majesty is overwhelming to behold. The preservation society began preserving this local performing art around 1975. Through Hane-Daiko, a local performing art unique to the fishing town, the preservation group is actively promoting the art both within and outside of the city of Choshi, while at the same time working to foster the next generation of drummers and promote the art.
